michelle the main lady gave us a grand experience ie tip top accommodation, brekkie and gourmet pies to die for.
a great welcoming place to stop off on your way north of clare valley, it's reputation precedes itself as peeps from 500 kms away knew about it! an aviary, good coffee and decent homemade bread round off the whole experience.

Stone Hut could be missed if you sneeze at the wrong time, how fortunate we didn't. A very small town overflowing with history just outside of Laura South Australia. The Stone Hut Cottages are rustic exteriors with modernized interiors, a bakery/restaurant and friendly staff that went above and beyond for my wife's birthday. If you want to shed some kilos DON"T taste the pies. Flavor plus and you can't just eat one. The bed was comfortable and the room was silent throughout the night. Fabulous country cooked breakfast all part of the deal and plenty of wine from the local Clare region. A massive bird aviary with friendly native Australian birds that greet you as you walk inside the enclosure. Heysen trail to Laura by feet or bike is recommended after breakfast and pies, and you can soak in the local sights. We are planning our next trip back but this time we are taking friends and family to experience what we have found.

I've never stayed so this review is for the bakery. I've been a few times and it's always good. Most recently last weekend, great service and one of the best savoury tarts I'd ever eaten. Good stuff. We're planning on going back soon, next time to stay.

I am staying here for work so i stay 3 or 4 weeks at a time and i have to admit i never want to leave. Adriana, Andrew and Polly bend over backwards to do anything for you. The bakery is delicious and always busy with tourists on a weekend. The rooms are great with all the amenities you would ever need. Perfect place to stay.

After a very long journey from London, UK travelling to Kimba (eventually) we stopped of here for a late lunch on a Sunday as it's a family favourite. Hands down the best sausage roll I've ever eaten, great range of pies all clearly freshly baked. Cakes and cheesecakes were also just fab. Staff were lovely and accommodating, bit off the beaten track but the food its self is worth the possibility of getting lost.
