Went to lunch with my wife at Garcia's last week. My wife had a Taco salad with grilled chicken. When she was almost finished with the salad she had some type of dead flying insect at the bottom. We told the waitress she went to get the owner/manager(not sure he was rude and didn't introduce himself). He didn't say sorry just said "it happens" then said it came from the lettuce.... That may be true but had they soaked the lettuce in ice water like they are suppose to this would have been washed away.
We pulled up at noon and the parking lot was empty I should have known better, if it's not busy for lunch in that busy area it's not worth going!

Thanks for writing your review. I'm sorry the apology in person was not to your satisfaction and again I am very sorry for your mishap during your visit. Sometimes things do happen and we do our very best to correct the situation. As a family owned business, we have a stellar reputation in the community and have been voted BEST MEXICAN and BEST MARGARITAS for many years in St. Tammany. We have a very hands on ownership which is why we have a huge following. Our restaurant does seat 200+ people so our parking lot is rather large which allows ample available parking for our busy clientele. Hope you will give us another try.

Service was friendly. One of the menu's was dirty with sauce which should have been checked before giving out the menu's.

Chips and salsa and bean dip very good. Had a combination platter. Loved tamale/taco/tostado but not a fan of their enchilado's. I know it was cooked but it almost seemed raw with no real taste. 3.5 out 5

The spicy bean dip is amazing! Everything we've eaten there has been good except for the steak (but you might love it) Whatever marinade they use is just too sweet for my taste.
