Came here on a recommendation of a LSU alumni and he wasn't wrong. Enjoyed my gumbo and Cajundilla. Earnest service but she miscommunicated on a couple of our dishes we ordered. Only her second shift and she has a winning personality so I am sure she will catch on. A little loud to just eat and not be interested in whatever is on the TV which was our case. Will try it again when I am back in town to catch some sports.

Thank Torchboy

Stopped in as it was close to the hotel. There is a very large u shaped bar area with many beers on tap. Ordered meals from the bar and enjoyed a catfish cooked achafalaya style. Was very tasty. Overall a very pleasant stop.

Our first time to try a Walk Ons. We were excited as we wanted to watch the FIFA Soccer games and also to try a Walk Ons.

We were seated promptly and the waitress appeared and asked our drink orders. We asked for a few minutes to look over the menu and she brought our drinks.

One of our party told the waitress “By the way, when you bring the check, I want it”. Before our meal came, the waitress had brought our check and asked “Would you like to pay for your meal now?” We told her “No, we aren’t paying for a meal we haven’t received yet and we may want dessert”. It seemed as if she just couldn’t understand.

We ordered the Cheeseburger Sliders, the Grilled Buffalo Wrap (with fries) and the Venison Soup and a Caesar Salad. And it was quite a wait even though it was about 1:00 pm.

The Sliders: soft, juicy with a pickle on top. However, very plain so we asked for mustard. The Buffalo chicken wrap: too much sauce! It was soggy and dripping with sauce making the wrap difficult to eat.
The Fries? Really cooked well.
The Venison soup: flavored nicely and paired with Caesar salad. However, we did have to ask for more dressing as there was not much dressing on it.

The reason for the average rating? It really could’ve been better. The waitress needed more training as we had to keep asking for napkins, drinks and even the ticket again.
The food was either barely seasoned or overly seasoned.

We loved watching the FIFA games on tv, but the volume could’ve come down just a tad.

Overalll? We liked the restaurant and think it has much too offer. However, nothing was excellent and it could have been. Let’s just say it’s an average sports bar with room for improvement.

We always enjoy our meals at Walk-Ons but this meal was great. Our waitress Mia took great care of us. My husband enjoyed his favorite, Mardi Gras Mahi Mahi, I enjoyed jumbo fried shrimp. My shrimp are some of the best I have eaten in a long time. We will definitely go back soon.

Visited early Sunday afternoon. Very clean, open, lots of TV's and good food. Had the Cajundillas. Great Cajun take on Quesadillas. BIg portion, hot, tasty, Red Beans and Rice above average. Oh and $3 Mimosa's. Staff was very good. True test would be during football season. But first impression was good and worth a trip back.
