We visited Midway and had a beautiful weather day, it was a Tuesday and one shop isn’t open on Tuesday, the ice cream stand was closed also. We had a terrific meal at Darlene Jeans, visited a cute historic saloon which is now a book store and gift shop. We visited a cute boutique on the corner but the prices where more than my liking so we exiting quickly. A store that sells boots and belts has gone in, I plan to order a belt for my son, nice and sturdy belts and nice boots. Midway is a cute quaint town.

The village is a Movie Set! Merry Christmas, movie house! Merry Christmas, Emporium! Merry Christmas, you wonderful old Building and Loan! Be your own George Bailey, running through and experiencing what a little town Midway is. Great shopping, restaurants and architecture. I just needed to see someone famous.

My wife and I visited this small historic area mid week and arrived around 10:30 am, 30 minutes before anything opened. It wasn’t long before the place was awake with shoppers and diners.

We visited several shops and had lunch at an Italian restaurant. Food was good although a bit pricey for lunch.

The area is along either side of a railroad track that runs through the center of this quaint town. Shops range from antiques to clothing.

Lots of restoration of old storefronts to admire and some still needing attention. Overall, a good experience.

Precious little gem of a Kentucky town with antiques, restaurants, art and more. Stop through, explore or just eat. It’s precious and you’ll be glad you stopped.

When in Midway, Crit's is a must-visit for menswear. It's on Main Street on the same block as those fabulous restaurants. Chances are good that Crit will be there himself. From shirts to slacks to ties (and bow ties) to sports coats to socks to shoes to dopp kits to travel bags and more - you'll find items that blend classic styles with a bit of an avant-garde flair. The quality is impeccable. We always stop by when we are in the Lexington area, and always find at least one classically eclectic item to purchase that immediately goes into the apparel rotation.
