We went to the restaurant for a late lunch on Monday; arriving around 1:15 pm and only a few tables were in service. Our drink orders were taken promptly and we attempted to order when we were served. Our waiter deferred and said he would be right back; not so-a considerable amount of time before he came back to take our order; 4 of us and we all ordered the lunch special (pizza and house salad/or cup of soup). After a long wait we inquired about the status of our pizzas and were told that a specified wait time between our salads was required and then a quick follow-up saying that 2 of our pizzas had been burned and they had to be re-done. Another long wait and 2 of the pizza were delivered. After another wait, one more pizza, and finally the last one arrived, only to have been made improperly, which meant, of course that it had to be re-done. The pizza was good; just a shame that the service was so inferior. First time at this restaurant and expect it to be the last time.

We have enjoyed Coals Pizza at both Louisville locations. When we were there last night we had our family with us including a toddler at the Middletown location. The staff was great and very helpful throughout the meal. Cassandra, our waitress was great and it seemed like everyone working there loved their job.

Oh, and the pizzas were fantastic as usual.
