I am not sure in the Space Needle of the 1962 Worlds fair was the first revolving restaurant, but it certainly popularized the idea and this only slightly faded glory was clearly so inspired.
Each room has a balcony which is still open to visit. (I am on he 14th floor and can step out) --this is increasingly rare for safety reasons, but I appreciated being treated like an adult.
I really love hotels with personality and this one has it. I am rating it excellent because the rooms are large and comfortable, every possible amenity is provided: Free wifi, refrigerator, microwave, ironing board, iron, shampoo and conditioner, a full closet and dresser, large flat screen TV, coffee maker with coffee and tea. Bath tubs with shower.
The bed is incredibly comfortable--great mattress. Yes there are newer hotels nearby, but I doubt you would enjoy them more.
Try to get a high room with city view.
