Did I mention that I loved this place. The building used to be a funeral parlor so be sure to check out the architecture inside as you browse (beautiful). We collect small collectibles and this place is small collectible heaven. Don't expect high end antiques here.
The booths were well organized and the main aisles were wide and clear. The lady at the front desk was very nice and friendly and made us feel welcome. I found the prices to be very reasonable and we walked out with several more items for our collections. I would have bought more but I'm running out of shelf space at home.
Mackin's is a great place to visit in Bardstown. It is in a old funeral home which gives plenty of space for shopping. There is a wide variety of items for sale. The owners are super friendly and helpful. We never leave without buying several things.
Enjoyed seeing the treasures here. Love the building. Loved many of the booths. Nice folks working there.
There is a lot of stuff here, just must of it is just old junk. What little they had that was actually worth anything was so overpriced it was just insane. Very disappointed in the "Antique" Stores in Bardstown. Good thing they have good Bourbon and good restaurants!
I've been here several times and have bought several items. Many of the things we buy we repurpose them to make something that works for our home. None of which I would call an antique. If you want antiques, go to a real antique store. Nonetheless there are a few neat items. I like going here and looking around because they do not follow you around like you a criminal and going to pocket some tchotchkes.
Lots of common glassware and tchotchkes. The most interesting thing was that the original part of the house was a Sears Kit Home. Beautiful woodwork and stained glass.
