Every person who got a steak was thrilled. People who got other things we're not as happy. Someone told us the chicken piccata was great so two people ordered it. They were disappointed because it was not very lemony & we've always had it pounded out then into a cutlet. Greystone serves theirs as a big thick piece of chicken, so it just wasn't what we were used to or expecting. My dad got the king crab legs and was very hungry after he finished his meal but that's his fault- he should have ordered a steak since this is a steak restaurant. Every person who got a steak thought it was fabulous! I must say I had the best decaf cappuccino after our dinner. It was the best cappuccino I have had outside of Italy. No kidding. The private rooms are nice because they have a round table that seats 8 or 10 and so everyone can talk to each other. The president room has funny paintings on the walls of presidents from different eras playing billiards/playing poker or playing golf together- kind of fun & funny- great conversation starter. The other private room is all art by Monet.

Had driven by this restaurant several times but are closed at noon. Came to town and wanted to try dinner. Server was excellent, manager stopped by and welcomed us also. Had prime rib, lamb special and deserts. All very good. Priced right also. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Thanks.

Despite this is the 4th time I dine there, for sure, won't repeat it again.

Why?

We were 7 people in a business dinner, none of the 7 was impressed, but in the contrary, left with bitter taste instead of mouthwatering one!

Believe you me, steaks are absolutely average, whether type, cook or taste. No talent, no art and no effort into cooking it.

Starters in fact below average, nothing special, and lacking varieties and wide choices.

Not only, but we were sitting freezing the whole 2 hours of the dining, wondering what sin we did in our lives to get punished this way.

Of course this restaurant will seem highly ranked, but either that's because of their old days, or people in Wichita got limited choices of restaurants.

Wichita is part of Kansas state, the land of the best steaks in the world, but surely not this restaurant.

Had a group of 8 and booked the small private room...so perfect! Everyone had something different but all agreed the food was terrific. Most had one if the signature beef selections cooked to perfection. Portions are generous and reasonable priced. Staff was responsive but not intrusive. Truly a great evening!

Greystone offers an excellent Sunday brunch. Reservations recommended. Small private rooms available for medium sized groups. Select a combo of 3/4/5 items for a set price. Drinks separate and a delicious Blood Orange Mimosa and Bloody Mary are offered. Especially fond of the beef tips and shrimp cocktail.
