This was meant to have been an upgrade by Trident Holidays after our original choice was changed from Glenbeg. As we have friends who live in Riverchapel this wasn't a problem, the problem started when we entered the building. Number 25 btw. It hadn't been cleaned, dishwasher full, foodstains on surfaces, handprints on windows, shower mouldy, clarty, and downright dirty, bathpanel kicked in in the upstairs bath, socket hanging off the wall, one knob missing from handle replaced with a sellotaped bundle of cotton wool, windows sills loose and falling off. The good news is the "reps" Susan organised a cleaning crew and they cleaned as best as they could at short notice, but we were tired after a long trip and just wanted to relax.
Riverchapel/Courttown?Gorey great place to holiday in case you are wondering.
ON leaving we decide to hoover, its knackered so we brush all the dirt...its lots cos we moved the furniture to get underneath, obviously not been done judging by enough sand to build my very own pyramid, underneath the hoover in a cupboard, a pair of used pink knickers...not touching them !!!,
Sooooooo would you pay 805 euros for that, My wife did, some holiday surprise eh ?? I wouldn't and couldn't in all fairness recommend this to anybody, Trident Holidays have shot themselves in the foot, as our friends who saw for themselves and live locally will pass on this information and get family and friends to look elsewhere.
To recap..This tired dirty rundown and above all very substandard accomodation needs upgraded with appropriate fire detection and alarms and a whole heap of work, nice as they guys who are the feet on the ground are, doesn't make up for feeling very very ripped off.
