Description: Don Quijote Restaurant, the heart of Spain in the heart of Valparaiso. We have been ahead of the "Tapas" trend for the last 26 years!! Serving Spanish cuisine since 1985 and featuring over two dozen different tapas, including, Octopus, Galician style meat pastries and the traditional "Tortilla Espanola", Spanish potato omelet. Our menu doesn"t stop there, but goes on to feature an array of tantalizing entrees, from fresh seafood, like Swordfish and Salmon to succulent Castilian style roast Lamb. The food is sure to please and fortify any traveler who might be roming the countryside. The National dish of Spain is the Paella, and we offer four different versions: Marinera, Vegetarian, Black and Valenciana. Delicious Homemade desserts round out our extensive menu. Our decor, complete with street lamps an a fountain, will transport you, to any out door cafe in Spain. "INDIANA'S ONLY SPANISH RESTAURANT"

Came back after a while away. Love the sangria and the food is top notch. Carlos, the owner/manager came out to each table greeting guests. Live music was terrific and the atmosphere was wonderful. Treated like family each time we go and the menu is full of delicious flavors! A must see for any Valparaiso visit!

Like the title says. All the tapas we had had great flavor and texture. Paella was even better.
Service was atrocious. Enough said about that. Head chef came out and met with customers, nice personal touch.

Upon entering the restaurant which was chilly, I asked for a table away from blowing air. The owner heard me and directed us to the perfect spot. Who doesn't like service like that? The menu is extensive with full entrees and a wide array of tapas. The setting is like eating on the sidewalks of Barcelona. Between the services and the food, we had a lovely experience.

I have thought may times that I wanted to try this place from seeing the billboard on the expressway. It was every bit worth the trip! Best Sangria I have had in any restaurant in the US, fried calamares were excellent (also rare in the US) and was so proudly stated by the owner the best flan ever. It was served with an on the house dessert wine which was delicious.

And the person who said they doubted it was even run by “Hispanics” thanks for the chuckle. We were greeted by the owner who is so clearly Spanish its not even a question at least to me who has spent several years living in Spain.

I had the paella and was hoping for something really special but was disappointed. The rice was not cooked long enough because in Spain they eat their rice a dente like Italians with the noodles. But I sent it back and came back just so delicious. I was not disappointed and then I had the flan and could not eat all of it. But Elena the owner really adds a classy touch to the restaurant. Small and cozy.
