Enjoyable spot to bring family and friends. Can easily spend a few hours looking at the various attractions from yesteryear. This place isn’t ritzy but will interest those with an interest from times long past. Sheep farmers will enjoy this place, how times have changed! After walking around and enjoying a self guided tour with over 21 different displays a visit to the cafe is a must, simply to try the Dampier. Allow at least an hour, good parking, caravanners - could take the caravan as plenty of space.

I agree with many, what a let down, should say run down, the exhibit/s and signage are second rate, many display signs are so faded and some are just stuck to glass with Blu-Tack, how amateurish. The museum grounds (if you could call it that) are untidy and dangerous, we came across some rotten timber on the ground with 2 inch rusty nails facing upward, just waiting to impale an unsuspecting visitor.
It is a shame, but being run by only a local shire council seemingly without the necessary funds and expertise may explain it.
Someone here reported that there is a great cook house, balderdash, it was filthy and just with a single basic BBQ and a dusty electric griddle complete with cobwebs. There was a fire pit but this was littered and untidy. However the Jondaryan woolshed complex has such great potential, loved the history, but needs to be much better cared for and professionally presented. Something else we noted, the place was nearly devoid of visitors, and the camping area deserted,"maybe the word has got around" you could have fired a cannon and not hit anybody.
Jondaryan needs help to emulate the wonderful "Stockman's Hall of Fame" but I guess it all comes down to big dollars, such a shame.

Met up with Sue the functions coordinator as I was looking for somewhere to have my 50th Birthday. What a fabulous place, Sue showed around and we chatted about menus etc. We've booked the Woolshed for my birthday in July and can't wait. Even my friends are looking forward to weekend away.
