A deep bath, warm bed and the welcoming faces of the chickens, ewes, miniature ponies and alpacas helped make Blue Wren the ideal spot to either laze around all day or use as a base for hikes in Mt Field. The owners have clearly put in a great amount of effort to make this place feel inviting and cosy - there was even kindling in the fireplace ready to be lit! Highly recommend if you enjoy being near a river, having space to spread out or like eating Devonshire tea.

“Beautiful, Wildlife, River an led Berries ”
Reviewed 7 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

We stayed here with 5 kids and they had a ball. The cottage is in a central location to the waterfalls and rail riders. It is also in the middle of the berry picker territory. Animals galore here not just wildlife but also chickens, sheep and bird aviary. The cottage is cosy had plenty of beds for the kids, backyard was large. The kids often walked across the road to the river running from the waterfalls as well. We made a friend in Henny Penny as well a roaming hen who dropped in and said hello, the kids loved her.
