Hobsons cabins are tucked into the woods just outside Turkey Run S.P. They are fairly new and well appointed. The property is well kept and so peaceful. Forget about WiFi, and electronic ties. ENJOY NATURE! The staff is friendly and accommodating. The perfect place to stay while canoeing, or enjoying the fall colors. Much preferred over the Turkey Run cabins!

I came down there with my husband, my 3 year old son, my cousin and her 6 year old twin boys. We stayed in the 'family cabin' which had the 2 twin beds in one room (plus a roll-out in the closet) and a queen bed in the other. I figured we would be crammed in there pretty tight, but was pleasantly surprised at how much room there was. Lots of cabinets and storage space for all the stuff we over packed. The cabins are so cute and they were very clean upon arrival. The view from our 2 sliding glass doors/the back porch was beautiful. It was quiet and cozy. The staff there was amazing to us. They dealt with our many phone calls prior to arrival (us asking about blankets, toilet paper, firewood, towels, etc) and while we were there they would come by in the evenings to check if all was alright (more blankets, towels, soaps, firewood etc) The one evening the guy helped us girls start the fire since the kids were eager to have some s'mores. The rest of our group were staying at the cabins in Turkey Run State Park and at the inn there, but all of them were so jealous of our cabin and location. This is a yearly trip for some of our group and they will be without a doubt making reservations at Hobson Farm from here on out! Wish we could have stayed longer!

If you're just looking for a place to sleep that's close to the local parks this is a good option. We had the family cabin that had a room on each end with the bathroom in the middle. There are AC units in each room but if you close the doors at night the bathroom area gets really hot. The tiny fridge doesn't really keep anything cool but they do have a microwave.
The cabin has a very nice porch with a few of the pasture with some cows out back.
No wifi or internet service out here and if you drive a big truck you might have a tough time getting it parked and out of the driveway.
Also it can be difficult getting a response from the owner so make sure you have all your questions answered before you get there. The place where you check-in is where he will give you a map to the cabins.

Upon arriving, found dead mouse in trap in cupboard, air conditioning had broken prior to our arrival with no notice or discount given. Very tiny window ac unit put in house to compensate but did nothing to cool the large space. Very dirty, toilet in the one bath had not been cleaned, feces left on seat of toilet. No apologies or compensation made. Still $500 per night. Advertised as having a screened porch, forgot to add that there was no door to it. Basement was very smelly and it permeated the kitchen. They did have some updated cabins that other family members stayed in that were nice. This one however was ridiculously overpriced. We will not be staying again.
