My wife and I visited this bookstore, and bought a book, on August 12, 2018. The young man behind the counter, Sean, I think, was cool. But the star was his puppy, Huckleberry. There's also a cute cat that lives there.

As a resident of the greater Louisville (KY) area, historic waterfront Madison is an easy drive -- an hour from home -- and always an enjoyable way to while away a Saturday, browsing and touring and strolling. Good selection of historic district eateries with variety of cuisines/menus; wonderful array of shops; beautiful buildings dating into 1800s -- and all sitting high above Ohio River.

Enjoyed this town for its pre-Civil War architecture. I was surprised there were not more restaurants in the Historic District. We had a hard time looking for places to eat. Not many restaurants Downtown and they close early. The ice-cream shops stay open later. A sleepy town with not a lot of action unless there is an event going on. Relaxing and peaceful visit. I would stop in again if in the area.

Nice river town with a downtown that has been preserved pretty well unlike many others that have been gentrified to death.

Great shops and restaurants and really good people watching. It's like going back in time as it is exactly like most small towns use to be like.
