Owner description: This scenic area, known for its hiking, has beautiful waterfalls and a canyon.

My wife and I took a day trip with our dogs last month. The admission was free that day (Monday), so that was a bonus! We saw plenty of beautiful waterfalls and even ventured down to the creek. The creek was one of our favorite parts of the park because of how quiet and peaceful it was. There was a small swimming hole, rocks to climb on, and lots of little waterfalls. The trek to the creek was a bit rugged, considering how steep it was, but we made it down there...with our dogs! We saw all four major waterfalls, hiked almost every trail, and made it down to the creek in just one afternoon, so I'd recommend seeing everything! One of Indiana's finest state parks, if not the finest!

We've been to this park many times. Always enjoyed the hikes. This time it has rained for several hours and the falls were the best we have ever seen them. Hiking was real cool, slippery, and rainy, but better than work any day.

The trails range from easy to challenging. Get a trail map, because you will need it to figure out where you are at the many trail intersections. The falls can be viewed from trail 7.

Clifty falls does have beautiful scenery and an amazing pool. The only thing I can really say is that the prices are a bit exorbitant for general admission and for season passes with is for only half a year since in the cooler months they don't charge admission.

We travel about an hour to make the trip to Clifty falls. Our 3 girls and miniature dachshund love walking the trails. It's always best after a good rain, but the trails are muddy. We like to pack lunch and make a day of it. Keep in mind the bathrooms at the north entrance are closed thru the winter season (end of March and still closed)
