I took my son and granddaughter here quite by accident. We just stumbled on the place, but had a great time. Who knew that I could play the drums? I did so well that my kids bought me a set for retirement. There is so much history and knowledge of rhythm that I almost got the "Blues" 'cause I had to leave.

If you have ever wanted to pretend to be a drummer for a day, or just like music history in general, this is the place for you! Not only full of great artifacts and visuals, but tons of playable percussion instruments, including a gong and a tympani (which the kids got the biggest kick out of)

If you have any drumming inclination, there are "mini studios" which are sound proof and contain a full kit. There is even a big center room for drum circles.

Overall, had a great time!

Took a field trip with a third grade class and will definitely take the rest of my family back. Lots of great info, interesting instruments, and a very interactive environment. Loved this place!

They are in the process of updating this hidden gem in Indy. It is the premiere drum and rhythm museum and interactive playground. There are so many cool displays from famous drummers to play areas for kids and adults to bang a gong or big time drum sets. Great education. Great fun

Lots of percussion instruments to see, plus a small area where you can play around in a soundproof "practice" room. The kids will love it - just make sure you are ready to hear a lot of banging and clanging!

This is not a huge place, so definitely don't plan on spending more than an hour or two here.
