My family and I stopped in for a quick bite for dinner. The pizza selections were vast and we enjoyed everything we ate. Fountain drinks are Pepsi products. They accept cash or check only, but do have an ATM inside if you need it. Prices are very affordable as well.
We will definitely be back!

This place is awesome. It sits in the campus area of Univ. of Evansville. The prices are incredibly fair. Cash or check only, but there is an ATM.

You can get traditional pizza toppings, but I love the speciality slices. I've had the Greek gyro slice, potato/cheese slice topped with Greek sauce, the loaded, and the ham sandwich slice.

It's worth the time to find this small place. It's a gem.

This is an Evansville institution, a bit like the Seinfeld soup Nazi experience, but basically you pay $7.25 (at the END of your meal) for up to 2 slices of pizza. You get two and your drink. Sit down, then wait in line for your next two. You can pick and choose.
Good thin crust pizza like New York.

#1: Bring cash, if not there is an ATM machine that charges an $2 or $3 fee. If it isn't working kindly ask Eric to turn on the Internet for the ATM machine to work, it's not a problem he will. He's like any other business owner who doesn't like to provide free Wi-Fi for non-payment customers. If your eating there and need it, he will leave it on for you

#2: Get to know the staff. Eric the owner is FABULOUS! He's on the quiet side, bit I think it's partially because it's hard to hear back there with the ovens. The other staff is great also! They are tride and true to Eric and have stuck with him for many years. Their sense of humors can be a little dry, but cut up with them, they are wonderful people and remember, they work with a college crowd most of the year.

3. As for the pizza selections. Don't be afraid to ask what they are. Each day they have different one, and even try making new ones from time to time. As stated before in another review, you order 2 pieces at a time, and go back as many times as you want.

4. If you are eating in house, I highly recommend the buffet. It's $7.25 for 4 slices of pizza and a fountain beverage. Each additional piece is $1.50. If you are going to even eat 3 slices it is still probably cheaper to order this route.

5. It may not me the most dusted place nor up to date decor-wise, but what it lacks in style makes up for in taste!

The Slice is one of the most unique places you will ever eat pizza. The owner, Eric, is a great guy, but unless you take the time as a customer to get to know him, he can seem a little abrasive.

Let me tell you how ordering works:

You come in and you will see all the pizzas up under the warmer. You will have to ask what each kind is if you cannot tell. Speak up too! It's loud behind the counter.

You normally order two pieces at a time. Depending on the type of pizza you will get there will be a little variance on price, but for a drink (free refills) and four slices (which equals half a large pizza) it is around $7.00 for lunch. If you get only two pieces (a quarter of the pizza) and drink it will be around $4.50.

You pay at the END. Repeat: you pay after you are finished. Just go back up to the register and tell him what you had. Be honest. He remembers orders very well.

One last thing - he only takes Cash. He does have an ATM inside which charges around $3.00 for a fee.

I live less than a 3-minute drive from the Slice and frequent as often as I have cash. Do not let other reviews (including mine) taint your perspective of this restaurant that has been around since 1994. Eric was in Cornell University grad school when he came up with the idea.
