We had seen a billboard on I-94 for this place at least a half-dozen times before we finally got a chance to stop in on a recent trip to the Indiana Dunes. Wow! First off, northern Indiana is not exactly a mecca for vegan food. Secondly, Tiger Lily Cafe was a feast for the eyes before our food even arrived. Someone with an eye for decor and branding pretty clearly works here.
Lunch took awhile to get out of the kitchen during a busy time for the restaurant, but it was worth the wait. We tried a variety of sandwiches and salads and found them all to be quite good. We also got dessert and had trouble choosing from among the great variety of homemade vegan items.
