Review of Salt Creek Brewery

Salt Creek Brewery
Ranked #9 of 61 Restaurants in Bedford
Cuisines: American
Description: Salt Creek Brewery. Beer, MICRO BREWERY..Gearheads Grille RESTAURANT. THE FOOD. Called the "most unique Brewery in the state", you won't want to miss this Lawrence County establishment just off of Hwy 37 between Bloomington and Bedford. Salt Creek Brewery is located in a restored old service garage. What once was the alignment/oil change pit is now home to the brew vessels, the old paint room now houses the keg coolers, and the rest of the rooms still have the original walls from the 1940's. Come sit and sip one of our award winning beers where Jon had his cars painted, or where Bruce had a brake job done. Jon and Bruce sit in the same place at the bar or table where these jobs took place years ago. Look around at the brewery's large and growing collection of vintage beer pieces and advertising memorabilia. Some date back to the 1800's like the Pabst Bottle or the Schlitz Brewery Keg. Food is on the Grille side of the brewery. Please enjoy our new Beer Bait and Tackle Theme. After you

We had a blast at this unique brewery. The building & decor is very eclectic - think of Andy Griffith’s Mayberry, Goober’s garage specifically, combined with Snappy’s Lunch & Bluebird Cafe. Vintage thingamajigs & whatchamacallits galore! Staff was very attentive. Porter & Sally Switchback dIPA excellent. Food great. Not just bar nibbles, home cooked kinda food. Best tenderloin I have had in Indiana. And how cool is it these folks brew their own grape, cream & rootbeer soda! We were made to feel like old friends from the moment we sat down. Looking forward to our next visit when back in town in September. Thank you to staff & patrons who were so kind & welcoming to us. Icing on the cake - dog & kid friendly!

My husband and I stopped by for drinks and appetizers after a long day to listen to a folk duo perform. We sampled the nachos, fried mushrooms, and homemade cream soda. The quaint and inviting atmosphere was an eclectic mixture of antiques and garage decor. The waitress was friendly, and the folk duo were great. The cream soda was incredibly sweet but tasty. I wish they offered a better selection of drinks for non-drinkers. My husband, however, was quite happy with the variety of craft beers. We will definitely plan to return.

Awesome food, great price. Very unique, I would recommend checking it out. A few in our group tried a few of the beers and said they were great! Staff was very friendly as well.

Some of the best craft beers in Indiana. This place is a hidden gem in Lawrence County. Located off the main beat, but worth the drive. It's a brewery that has been converted from an old gas station, with some other cool decor ranging from old fishing gear, and bicycles,to old beer bottles and tobacco cans. I loved browsing through the old forgotten stuff like this. The beer was excellent and had 15 different types to choose from. The Bourbon Vanilla Bean was amazing, as was the Octoberfest. I also sampled the wheat, cream ale, Damn Blonde, and Out of Order IPA and found them all excellent. Honestly, the best selection of craft beers i've encountered anywhere in Indiana. The staff was friendly and the food was good. I had the tenderloin and sweet Potato fries with Black bean Nachos. Friends tried the burgers and enjoyed them and the beer as well. No complaints out of our group, we even took a few growlers home with us :) Can't wait to go back again.
