“Hard to pass up a fire breathing dragon”
Review of Kaskaskia Dragon

As with most roadside oddities, this is less impressive in person but it’s still pretty cool, especially if you have younger kids. You can buy a token across the street at the liquor store and for $1 you get about 10 seconds of fire. The tokens are also nice souvenirs. Worth a stop, especially at dusk or dark to get the full flame effect.

Adorable and silly, and a must see if here in town, and frankly, the second best thing in the area (Holiday Inn nearby came in first). I'd recommend just taking photos or, if you must, grabbing the token and watching the dragon breathe fire at the cute little knight.

Recommended.

Thank you, TripAdvisor!! Grandma scored big with this attraction. It doesn't take long, it's not all the money in the world and the kids love it.

Water tower nearby is also a good photo opp. The dragon was neat, but the fire didn't last long. We had to buy the $1 coin from the liquor store across the street, and some may be opposed to going in there. Overall it was a neat 1 time thing to do. I don't know that I'd make a special trip to go back and see it. I think for me it's a 1 and done.
