I watched them build this over the whole project, and it is built well, looks right and is bigger that the old red covered bridge.

Great bridge to visit...

The Capt. Swift Bridge is a local landmark for the Princeton area. Recently rebuilt to original specifications, this is a large bridge designed for heavier traffic. Although not as quaint as the Red Covered Bridge, this large, covered bridge is outstanding as a local historic site. A recommended destination.

We visited both of the covered bridges (I hope I uploaded the right photos). They are beautifully maintained and have locations to park and walk through them.

Princeton is a great little town that has a true appreciation for history, the arts, and modern times!

We enjoyed the bridges with our grandson!

This bridge is awesome!!! It is rock solid, so well built! Gorgeous wood! The views are beautiful here, with such a nice stream flowing below. Nice parking area, and you can walk down to the water. Good photo ops here!!!

The red covered bridge(also known as the Captain Swift bridge) over Bureau creek is a must for covered bridge fans. Definitely plan a stop on your tour of our lovely historic city. My grandchildren have always loved visiting this site.
