Wish I had allowed more time to review this museum. Traveling RT 66 from Chicago to St. Louis with another couple we were somewhat strapped for time. Since I was the only vet this really meant something to me. Got to talk with a couple of the volunteers who were Vietnam vets and told them how much there work is appreciated. If my memory serves me correctly I think there are like 250 manequin solders, sailor, airmen & marines who have served from Livingston County. Very, very impressive. I would say this is a must see for anyone who has ever served in the military and for any civilian also.

Thank Ejayer

This museum is made to honor the people of Livingston County who have served the American Armed Forces. A very large collection of uniforms and stuff from the WW 1 to the present. They all tell you the history of the soldiers. Very impressive.

As a Viet Nam era Vet I appreciated the effort that has been put into honoring those that have served and given their all to our country.

Stopped here to see the display of a persons grandson who was killed in Iraq. They have his Marine BDU's on a maniquin.

This is a FREE wonderful military museum located on the third floor of the Rt66 museum and visitors center. Have no fear, there is an elevator available!

The museum covers all wars. It’s not a big place but it’s packed full of historical items and loads of interesting information. There’s lots of military uniforms including a replica uniform of Audie Murphy, the most decorated American soldier.

The volunteers here are very knowledgeable. There’s no reason not to visit if you’re in the area. You will enjoy this museum whether you’re into military history or not.

The guide knew many facts even details about spending 8 hours curled up in the lower part of the plane, manning the gun, in a small tight place where you couldn't even have a parachute with you, in case you needed it. The amazing work that went into each individual uniform, the exact medals each person received, and the details about their lives! They had many war artifacts as well.

Although small, it is powerful with all the uniforms and medals displayed. Many are from local folks who have served from World War through the current conflicts. One of the gentlemen there was passionate about the museum, especially since it had information and souvenirs from his dad's D Day action. His mother was also very active so this museum is dear to his heart.

This museum is incredible. It features local war heroes and showcases lots of locally donated items from those who were in the war. It's beautiful and I highly recommend.

I did not think the kids and I were going to enjoy the museum. My kids are 18 and 22. We all we so intrigued with all the history and stories inside. So much to see we plan on going back because we know we missed something. Everyone that was there was so friendly and full of information!

This is really impressive. There’s just SO MANY uniforms! It’s eerie to be in a room with that many uniforms. Real uniforms. It almost feels haunted by the scores of old soldiers who wore them. There’s a few dioramas too. A radio station and a wartime band stand. I enjoyed it.
