This place is not on the main street of Peru. You need to work a little bit to find it because it is down by the river where there is not much of anything else for a visitor. It's in an old historic building which makes it pretty cool and the river can be seen if you get a table by the windows.
We were there on a weekday, so it was pretty empty even though it was around 5 pm. There is a bar side and a restaurant side. We sat on the restaurant side which only had one other filled table, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Our server was a pleasant young woman who took our order quickly. We had some local Tangled Root brews, fresh mushrooms that were battered and delicious, a chicken sandwich and a burger. All were served hot and fresh and perfect for the end of a long day of driving.
All in all it was a good choice.
