Description: Loaded with family traditions, homemade BBQ sauce and a secret family pizza sauce. Owner Joanie Shunia has renovated the space to include a new bar and a bright, welcome interior which house some of the original recipes from the first Village Pizza of Detroit. Flat-screen televisions will fill the dining rooms, four video-gambling machines will occupy one corner, the patio will be open during warm summer months. We offer thin and hand-tossed round pizzas, and the square Sicilian style - similar to the deep-dish Chicago style, but with cheese on top instead of sauce.

I enjoyed the Long Grove Cafe, but this replacement is even better. Enjoyed the "Rochester style" pan pizza, cheese curds and boneless wings. Joanie, the owner, is very friendly and active in management. Nice outdoor shaded patio too.

I've eaten a sizeable number of gluten free pizzas. This one ranks right at the top. Crust is really nice and thin. Plentiful mozzarella cheese and generous ingredients carefully prepared. Everyone seems to really enjoy the broasted chicken- wish that my diet could allow for that. Nice outdoor eating space. Popular karaoke on Wednesday evenings. Highly recommend a visit.

We decided to try this new restaurant while we were in Long Grove. It was called Village Pizza & BBQ until just a few weeks ago. Before that it was called Long Grove Café. We started off with their Caesar salad which was good. We both ordered their broasted chicken which was excellent. It came with cole claw, broasted potatoes, and homemade rolls which were all very good. Prices here are quite reasonable. Ashley was our server and was very nice and efficient. We were impressed with this new restaurant and will be back when we are in this area.

Very casual place. Choose dining outside near pond or inside. The atmosphere outside is lovely. You may see a Blue Heron, ducks or something else.
Many nice specials. We enjoyed the Broasted Chicken with cole slaw & broasted potato pieces. Lots of parking but at peak hours parking lot gets full. Prices are reasonable & waitstaff was great. A very hidden gem.

Whodathunk ! Our hats off to Joanie for having both great thin crust and great thick crust pizza. As I said -- whodathunk ! We've been there several times -- and have yet to try other menu items -- but the pizza alone has made this one of our 'go to' places. Indoor and outdoor eating areas -- and do say hi to Joanie -- she's a great gal !
