My wife and I shared the large slab of ribs with fries and had a little left over for a snack the following day. I appreciated that they were not slathered in sauce as they are in some places.

This is not a place to go if you want a quiet, subdued atmosphere.

Would definitely return on our next family visit.

Thank tennismaine

There can always be trepidation when a single location is successful and branches out into multiple locations and comes close to chain like status. ToT’s started as a single location in Chicago and has since expanded its reach into the burb’s. Including a location in Gurnee, right across from Six Flags.

This was my first time at ToT’s. And I was impressed. Typical sports bar/restaurant setting. Nothing out of the ordinary in terms of the look and feel. Decent size. A bit loud. Some might call it energetic. It shares a parking lot with a few hotels, so you have collection of business travelers running up their expense accounts. Mix in some locals, regulars and passersby and you have a unique mix of folks. Plenty of TV’s adorn the walls at every angle. Including in the bathroom.

An impressive selection of tap beers will provide you with many options. They are willing to pour a taste of everything. The bottled beer selection is extensive as well. A great deal of diversity in the menu provides options for any palate. Including mine as a vegetarian. places like this are often lacking in that space. Veggie wrap, veggie burger, veggie tacos and plenty of sides and apps as well. I had the veggie tacos. Corn or flour tortilla options. I went with corn at the suggestion of the bartender. Excellent choice. The rice and beans sides were, well, rice and beans sides. Nice presentation overall. They use a tray to keep the “street tacos” in place. You get two tacos and the third slot on the tray as a bit of pico accompaniment of sorts. Excellent flavor to the tacos, fresh, crunch of the slaw,, creaminess of the avocado. It could use a little more heat, though. A bit messy, but to be expected. I simply mixed the filling that fell out with the rice and beans and the pico to form a bit of a salad when I was done. Very flavorful.

Finally, excellent service from the bartenders. I sat at the bar and they were attentive without being overbearing. Responsive and helpful. Based on observations, service staff at the tables were equally attentive.

Overall, would definitely go back and try other locations.

Was told 20 minutes for a table in the dinning room. Waited 40 minutes then left. It was our anniversary. We were pretty annoyed.

This is a great place to grab a drink or bite to eat after a long day at work. The waitstaff is friendly and very helpful. Great nachos. They also have a gluten free menu but beware, the fries are not technically gluten free, cooked in the same fryer as breaded food.

Went here for a quick mid week evening dinner. Sports bar atmosphere was good, food was excellent and waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. plenty of Tv's all around. ggod view from anywhere... I had the full slab of ribs. Enough leftover for a snack the next day. BBQue sauce was excellent, draft beer was cold. Chocalate Climax desert was the best I've had in town. My wife had the sampler platter which was not bad but not quite as good as the ribs... We have added as one of our regular local stops.
