We had two wonderful nights in a balcony suite at the Hotel Minister. The location is on the quieter side of Port de Sóller, which was perfect. The room was spacious with wonderful views out to the lighthouses. Everything was clean and well maintained (which I suspect is a challenge in a busy beach hotel), and the staff was eager to please. On departure they provided a parting bag with fruit, water, and a sandwich. Nice touch. The breakfast was tasty, with a wide selection of choices.
While the room is comfortable and location amazing, it does have a slightly modern and sterile vibe. That isn't a knock, but prospective guests should be aware. In addition, there are little things that make it seem a "star" below the prices paid. For example, the room has a Nespresso maker but even though there are six capsules in the room if you use more than two during your stay (regardless of how long you stay) you get charged. Similarly, beach/pool towels are provided, but you have to provide a €5 deposit. The bed was not quite as comfortable as other hotels we stayed in while in Spain. More
