Carpe Diem is a very comfortable and upscale home, very tastefully decorated with fine arts. It is spacious, elegantly appointed, bright and with a fully equipped gourmet kitchen. The living- dining room comfortably sits six persons . The lower level has a large master bedroom with tub and shower . The sliding doors open up to the veranda and to the East garden. This bedroom has en-suite, nice bathroom. There is also a half bath/guest bathroom by the sitting room..
The upper level has a second bedroom with double bed, connected to a very large twin bedroom. Spacious bathroom with view over the Zia Mountain. Upstairs there is also a wet bar with a small fridge.
The upper wrap around terrace offers unforgettable sea and mountains views and view of the neighboring islands.
The outdoor areas are nicely furnished for al fresco dining with spectacular views ; the garden is beautiful with its Mediterranean vegetation.
At Carpe Diem there is an overall sense of peace and tranquility, a perfect place to appreciate the island feel. We found its location to be ideal as it is mid island, on the way to Zia Mountain. It is 10-12 minutes to Kos Town and 18-20 minutes to the famous Paradise beach, Kefalos and Kardamena. The nearest beach is Tigaki, just 5 minutes drive. Tigaki has a lively young feel with excellent restaurants. Supermarkets are only a few minutes drive from the villa and are well stocked.
The booking process was smooth, thanks to Ines, the very cordial owner, who promptly assisted us and very kindly answered all our many questions. Ines also helped us to rent a vehicle and Sevi, the rental company, was excellent. We had an excellent vacation and are definitely planning to return to Kos and to this nice home.
Kos is a lovely Island, maybe a bit more rural and simpler than other Greek islands and that is exactly what we liked. The people in Kos are very friendly, humble and always ready to help with a smile. Many activities are possible in Kos, an Island full of history, a nice museum, archeological sites and close to neighboring islands and to Bodrum/Turkey. Highly recommended.
We spent one week at Carpe Diem. The villa is in a very nice location: on a hill facing North and with a very nice view. The villa is surrounded by other nice villas, as this is the luxury are of Kos.
The villa is a modern and robust construction. During our stay there was a terrible earthquake in Kos, but the villa was not damaged.
There are several spacious rooms, clean and equipped with air-conditioned.
There are web nets on the windows (unfortunately with some holes)
There are several bathrooms, a nicely equipped kitchen a nice stereo player.
There is a nice garden and a grill. We did grilled, as the restaurants in Kos are very good and cheap.
The owner was not present but very kind as we communicated by mail. There is a greek family taking care of the house, in case of need.
