“The most perfect place to stay in East Yorkshire if you want to get away from it all and indulge yourself.”

The cottage was superb with everything you could wish for on a holiday break. Sue was so lovely and had made our visit very special with the amazing added touches for our wedding anniversary; I could not have made the cottage more special if I had done it myself. Everywhere was spotless and the kitchen was perfect for my cheffy husband...he made the best steaks and Thai curry whilst we were there!
The hot tub was the icing on the cake.. loved being outside even though no stars were in sight due to the cloudy night..and very easy controls. The robes were a very lovely touch!
Hubby loved the massive bath... he was in there for almost an hour and came out very chilled if a little prune-like!
Massin our dog loved the garden and the nearby walks .. I was not so impressed with his muddy paws so was grateful for the outdoor tap!
Overall Sue and her husband have made a little haven that we will undoubtedly want to return to and will surely recommend to our friends.

“Beautiful picture perfect cottage”
Reviewed 24 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We stayed the weekend for my partners birthday.
Where do I start... Firstly the cottage was designed and furnished in such great taste, it was so cosy! The log burner was toasty!
It came with all the kindling and the big logs and fire lighters. So getting it going was nice and easy!
On arrival we were welcomed by Sue. Perfect host, she couldn't have made us feel any more welcome! When we arrived at the cottage Sue had kindly decorated with birthday decorations, prosecco and chocolates. Such a lovely touch!
The hot tub has to be the highlight! All lit up at night with fairy lights. Perfect!
Towels/robes were provided.
All the little things that we forgot to bring they provided which was great! Washing up liquid, tea, coffee. This was a bonus!
We spent our day on a short walk to Withernsea. There is not much to do around there but it suited us... a rural break to chill out!
We just wish we could have stayed longer.
We would highly recommend this cottage, Sue and Allan were great, thank you for your warmth in hospitality.
Thank you for making our stay so special!
You have a gem of a cottage.

“Wisteria Holiday Lodge, Hollym”
Reviewed 17 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Quite simply, a fantastic property. Everything at the property is of the highest quality, from the fixtures and fittings, down to the pots and pans.
The location itself is pretty quiet but you're a short drive away from the coast. Spurn Point is worth a visit if you fancy a long walk to the end, Hornsea has a nice prom where you can dodge the waves splashing you when the tide comes in.
The lodge itself is lovely. A well equipped kitchen with everythinh you need. And I mean everything. Its all good quality stuff too.
The sitting area is comfortable with lots of nice homely touches. There's wifi if you need it (can be a bit slow - its a rural area - but the conbection never dropped). There's no Sky TV but there is DTV and a Roku box, so you can watch Netflix, YouTube, etc.
The bathroom is large and very well fitted out with a large bath and jet shower. Hot water is plentiful.
Bedrooms are large and comfortable. Super size double in one, two singles in the other. We slept like a log. The cockerel woke us on Saturday but seemed to have a lie in on Sunday! Both bedrooms have dressing areas and TVs.
We didn't use the garden as it was a bit damp and cool but it is lovely with loads of furniture, a BBQ and a brilliant hottub which we most definitely did use!
There's all manner of maps and tourist info, takeaway menus, etc for you to peruse too.
A final word for the hosts, Sue and Alan. It is obvious they really care about their property and the guests who stay there. It was dark when we arrived and I couldn't find the property, Sue came out to the street to wave us in. It wad my partners birthday and our hosts had left fresh flowers, bubbly and chocolates. A bulb wdnt tripping the circuit, Alan was there in a minute to replace and show me where the circuit box was. There really was no need or want that wasn't met.
All in all, if you're after peace and relaxation and you don't need or want bright lights on your doorstep,I'd highly recommend a stay here.
