Our food was served cold and not what was ordered. I was already sitting with the food when my husband went up to get a knife because they failed to give him one and ask for the correct side item. They demanded we return my entire plate. I was already eating cold food. It would have been ice by the time they got the sides right. On top of that, the meat was dried out. He had to come back to remove the incorrect item and bring it to them, while the food continued to get colder before they would replace the item.

Definitely not authentic southern BBQ, but a delicious alternative. Brisket is recent addition that is moist and tasty. Smoked meats are all good recent additions. Conventional offerings are good too, just not smoked. Ribs and chicken are tasty, tender and juicy. Hot sauce is outstanding.

Walking into Russell's Dining Room reminded me of my days at summer camp as a youth. Lots of windows. (See pic that accompanies the TripAdvisor heading for this establishment.) You get the feeling you're out on someone's enclosed porch. But on to the important stuff. The food here is definitely and predictably better than average but not anything to write home about. The good news is that there is almost no waiting... and no tipping. The other good news is that, when you leave, you won't be hungry. It's a perfect place to go at lunchtime or with the kids. If you're looking for a romantic dinner spot, keep on looking.

Russell's has been there forever -- and the barbecue is still worth the trip. For those of you who haven't been there for a while, they now also have BBQ pulled-chicken to go along with the pulled-pork and BBQ beef sandwiches. The ribs are also still a cut above.
The line is always long, but there's always plenty of tables and more than adequate parking, Outdoor picnic tables are still available for those who want to dine alfresco -- although carrying a tray packed with food and drinks (beer and wine served) that far isn't my idea of a good time.

Delicious moist Pork BBQ was perfect for lunch, I couldn't even finish the delicious French fries! You could come here everyday and always have something different, a great variety to choose from. My dad brought my mom here on their first date back in 1960!!
