We had a lovely evening in beautiful surroundings. We all got a menu with different dishes. And they were all very good. The wine was OK but not as good as the meal. (maybe we picked wrong).

lovely view of the hills, a scops owl hooting away, very pleasant food with an interesting menu. Our table had ceviche [excellent] mi cuit foie [excellent] and ravioli for starters. Main courses were daurade [a little oily for my taste] lamb shank [excellent] and steak [excellent] The goat's cheese was a bit hard for my taste, though others enjoyed it. Perhaps they could give you the choice? There was a second cheese, pleasant but not very exciting. Desserts were lovely [we had chocolate and the chestnut ice cream, both delicious] Pleasant reasonably priced wine, amazingly speedy sevice with a joke here and there. We'll certainly go back

We have had good meals here many times over the last 4 years and never been disappointed . Sitting at the back of the old church sheltered in a rustic setting with great food & wine is what you will find here . I recommend not having the cheapest menu as the more expensive one has the best food . I had melt in the mouth Veal chop and ile flottante . Accompanied by local Rose wine from The Ardeche .

Ten of us went for an evening meal and I have to say the enclosed garden where we ate was very pleasant while the people serving were also courteous and friendly.
A varied mix of starters, main courses and desserts were had by the group, the comments being mostly positive with the main comment being that though the food was of a reasonable quality, there was actually too much which was a little off putting.
In my wife's case and mine, we were also a little disappointed by the wine.
Overall, the restaurant has a good reputation as a couple of friends have visited the area several times and used it so I am sure we would try again if in the area.

One of the rare places in the Ardeche/Gard border area that is open early in the year and stays open well past the peak summer months. An amazing setting, although a bit off the beaten track so you need to drive unless staying in st privat. Great views across to the Cevennes, always friendly personal service and a good range on the menu. Never been disappointed in big or small groups. Highly recommend, great to sit out in the courtyard in summer.
