We made our first trip to Chicago to check off a bucket list item - a trip to Wrigley Field. The place we stayed was an afterthought. Just trying to find a place within walking distance to the park, Giordano's Pizza, and Al's Italian beef. The Majestic fit the bill. However, we were blown away by the Majestic's ambience, history, comfort, and most of all the staff. As we've checked this item (Wrigley) off the bucket list, we may never visit Chicago again. However, we will highly recommend the Majestic to any friend or family member visiting Chicago in the future.

This hotel would definitely fit under the category of 'quaint' or 'vintage'. Small rooms that are nice but nothing too special. Customer service was great, though. Free WiFi as well. There was nothing inherently wrong with the Majestic, we just were not impressed.

Michelle,
Thanks for the kind comments as well as your feedback for improvement. Sorry to see that your overall experience was average, but, I’m glad you appreciated our amazing team. Some rooms are small but we do have many suites that are much larger then our normal standard rooms and if travel brings you back to Chicago please don't hesitate to contact me for an upgrade to one of the suites.

Thank you again for you review!

Sincerely ,

We loved the older hotel! Not fancy, but very nice and clean. Very close to Wrigley Field. They provided a nice continental breakfast. The entire staff here was so helpful; they helped us with buses, directions, restaurants, and helped us with tours. Dan, with guest services, was a wealth of knowledge and went above and beyond to help make our trip to Chicago a magnificent trip!

While planning a quick trip to Chicago to see a Cubs game I found the Majestic Hotel. Loved everything about this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed talking to Dan at breakfast. The continental breakfast was a nice bonus. We stayed in a 2 bed suite. Loved the charm and space. The beds were very comfortable, the best sleep I had in a long time. The location was perfect for walking to Wrigley Field. Always felt safe. I wished we could have stayed longer. Looking forward to our return.

A lovely dowager close to both the Lakeshore path and DIVVY stands BUT most important to 'most' guests the
Majestic is a short 6 blocks from Wrigley Stadium. Lots of choices for neighbourhood popular restaurants.
Best were the staff full of the Hospitality Gene; Roxanna, Dan, Mona and ... otra Dan.
Boutique may be a stretch with creeky floors like my 1849 heritage home but character and characters abound.
It's a true neighbourhood small hotel.
Wing Commander would fly Majestically again and again.
TIP 1: DIVVY bike stands are nearby ... go bicycling.
TIP 2: Take your DIVVY bike to the Navy Pier and back on the Lakeshore ... wonderful especially at night.
TIP 3: Listen to Mona or Rosanna on food recommendations. Angelina's was best pasta this side of Italy.
TIP 4: BEST is the parking ... so close and at a discount. Super friendly and helpful team of attendants from Ethiopia.
WOW! Use this to a Chicago stay advantage.
Creeky floors ... all part of the character.
