This was a wonderful, older neighborhood hotel within walking distance of Wrigley Field (lots of game goers stay here) and Lincoln Park. All of the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Our room was actually a small suite with two queens, a refrigerator, microwave and two TV's. Breakfast was pretty simple but the host was a great guy, Dan, who was very engaging with guests. Just be aware that it is older, has window unit A/C, and a very small elevator (faster to walk). The breakfast area is also a very comfortable reading, waiting area for late checkouts.

Room Tip: Only 3 floors and the elevator is very small. Window units in the rooms.

Stayed here with my dad and brother. Was our first visit to Chicago as we were attending Cubs Baseball games on the Friday and Sunday. On arriving at the hotel we were met by Mona who was a lovely friendly lady and welcomed us after a long time traveling. She was very helpful and after discussing what our plans were and how long we were staying, we were shown to our rooms. The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. In the morning a continental breakfast was served from 7am. The Hotel is an excellent place if you are visiting a Wrigley Field Stadium as it's only 10 minute walk.

Would defiantly visit again and would recommend to anyone visiting Chicago.

I booked this hotel because it was near Wrigley Field, immediately when we knew we had tickets to the concert, which was July 15. Later on, recommendations from locals were to stay near the airport because it is less expensive, and to use the public transport system to get to Wrigley, as there is no parking there. I am so glad we did not do that, as most of the 41,000 people leaving the concert at the same time were trying to get on the trains. We merely had to walk a few blocks down the street and we were home! So, excellent location for Wrigley, and it is located in a beautiful urban neighborhood. While our room was small, it was certainly comfortable enough and very clean and well kept. Breakfast service was continental breakfast style, with cereal, juice, milk, toast, bagels, sweet rolls, waffles, and fruit. There was no coffeemaker in the room, but coffee was available at all times in the lobby. The clerk who checked us in was Mona, and she was very personable and a great source as to where to eat in the neighborhood, within walking distance. The place she recommended was Revolucion, a Mexican steakhouse, which was excellent! She even gave us coupons for two free margaritas at the restaurant. I would go back to Revolucion in a heartbeat and would stay at the Majestic for any event at Wrigley Field.

I wasn't sure when my husband booked this place, since we'd only stayed downtown. As it turns out, it was nice to discover a different part of town and be in a place that was more residential. We walked all over the neighborhood, and found so many cute places to eat including Lark, a pizza place on Halsted with big open windows to the street, a great back patio and delicious pizza. Roxana at the front desk was so patient explaining the best ways to get into the city (quick and super easy by bus for $2.25) and sharing her favorite places in the neighborhood, as was Dan. If you are looking for super high end and modern touches, this may not be for you, but if you are looking for charming, old school and warm.. this is the place.

Dear Guest,
It was our pleasure having you here for the first time and our staff is always here to make things easier for you. We are indeed so close to several of the city's attractions and restaurants and I am glad you got a chance to enjoy some of them by using public transit. We shall see you again in the very near future.

Best,
Roxana D

Booked for the location based on Trip Advisor reviews, hoping for a cozy family weekend. Upon check-in, I took one look at the room and walked out. Carpet was torn, old window AC units...the entire room looked like something from the 50's.

I've never walked out of a hotel before, and hope not to do it again. A big disappointment.
