Great place to stay. We found this to be a very clean, comfortable & hospitalble place. The hosts were always around, very helpful & friendly. I would highly recommend this place. Much nicer than a hotel.

From the moment we crossed the threshold, Kim and Tom were superb hosts: warm, gracious, helpful but never intrusive. Recently built to purpose as a B&B, not only was our room spacious, clean and inviting, but The Sono is a handsome townhouse with a lovely large and inviting kitchen/dining area. Great cups of freshly brewed coffee await along with a generous and nutritious continental breakfast (including fresh berries!). And thank you especially Kim and Tom for preparing our preference for stove cooked porridge each morning! Convivial chats with not only our hosts but other friendly and interesting guests made for a memorable stay. The neighborhood is charming, quiet and public transportation is easily accessible. We had a wonderful time in Chicago and look forward to staying at the delightful Sono again!

Room tip: We had a street facing room and it was very quiet, so I don't think you could go wrong with any of the rooms.

We had a delightful stay at The Sono! I had stayed here on a previous visit. It was the first stay for my husband. Once again, the B&B was immaculate, and our room was just wonderful. The hosts were so warm and welcoming, and we felt like we were right at home! They stock the fridge with water and snacks, that is such a nice touch. The breakfast that is available is just like home. Fresh baked croissants, fruit and yogurt, and much more. We happened to be there over St. Patrick's Day, and Tom had baked his Grandmother's Irish soda bread for all of the guests to enjoy. Just one more reason why we loved our stay, and will definitely go back on our future trips to Chicago.

The Sono is a beautiful new Bed and Breakfast in Chicago's Old Town. It is one of the only accomodations in the area. The innkeepers, Kim and John, are extremely gracious and the entire place is beautifully designed in the best of taste and the continental breakfast was delicious and there are snacks available for guests all day. Only a few blocks from the Sedgewick "L" stop, the B and B is just a fifteen minute walk to Lake Michigan and the wonderful Lincoln Park Zoo. Old Town is a happening neighborhood that is the home to the legendary Second City Comedy Theatre and numerous lively Bars and Restaurants. All and all, a great home base for your Chicago Vacation!
