The surroundings in this theater are breathtaking. Gilded and ornate, it feels like luxury. I've seen several shows here including; Wicked, Billy Elliot, and Ragtime - if you can get tickets while you visit, I highly recommend!

Chicago is becoming the second Broadway, and this renovated theatre is always a pleasure to visit.

“Rap & Rapp's 1926 Persian/Asian bon-bon movie palace”

The restoration into a live performance venue is stellar. The largest stagehouse in Chicago allows great freedom in production. I'd give it 5* except that enjoyment depends on teh product. If you get bored with what is on stage you can always entertain yourself by looking at the decor.

“Nice theater”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 December 2011

I have been here for some shows and it is a nice theater. The seats are comfortable and the interior is beautiful. I love that the theater district had a re-birth about 15 years ago. They rehabbed these buildings beuatifully.

“The Grandest of them All...”

Once inside, I didn't want to take my seat, but instead just wonder around and take in the beauty of the theatre. It is the most beautiful of them all. Oh ... We had great seats for the play we saw so no complaints there either.
