Greenhouse Inn is located on the Misericordia property. The property houses individuals with disabilities. Some of these residents work at Greenhouse Inn Restaurant and/or sell their artwork and jewelry. We went there for Sunday Brunch. The restaurant is colorful and cheerful. We decided on the Sunday Brunch all-you-can eat special. It was a great price! They also offer a separate menu. It included homemade waffles, crispy bacon, flavorful tender sausage, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, cheeses, homemade pastries and donuts, spiral ham, chicken, crabmeat salad, broccoli salad and more. The service was impeccable! They also have a bakery and gift shop on the premises. It is a great place to join friends and family! They serve lunch T-F 11:30-2:00 and Sunday Brunch 9:30-2:30.

We've been here a few times before for $15 buffet, and I'd have rated that a 3 or 4. Greenhouse had a special during Christmas season; $30, served in the Atrium.

It was awful. Ceasar salad too much dressing; seemed like it was made the day before. Roast beef over done. Danish and other pastries (they're known for some of their baked goods) seemed like they came from Costco. Just really low quality food.

Hope this isn't the new norm for them. It's nice to support the organization.

Three of us had lunch there on a Friday afternoon. The hostess and waitstaff were very friendly and courteous. We arrived near the end of the lunch hour but they treated us like royalty. Menu includes sandwiches, salads, or buffet. You can't go wrong with any of the choices. The setting is cute, and they also have a nice gift shop and bakery. You'll feel good about helping the folks at Miseracordia when you leave.

Our Alum Club for Saint Mary-of- the-Woods College hosted a Sunday Brunch here and had wonderful service and good food. We were provided a room for our event and separate buffet, which was well received. There was good parking and it was easy to find with a nice drive up Lake Shore. Others said that there is a great bakery too.

This is a restaurant partially staffed by people with developmental disabilities at Miseracordia. It is unique. The restaurant is a bit like a greenhouse with many windows, so there is cheerful light. You may order ala carte from the menu or go to the hot and cold buffet. People who are part of the Miseracordia community pour coffee, take orders, etc. and it is a very friendly and fun environment. It is now a regular part of my Chicago visits, since my friends live on the north side, not far away. There is ample free parking. Also, a nice gift shop. Check website (below) for menus, photos, directions, etc.
