Erie Café is a charming restaurant in Chicago. It has one of the most beautiful outdoor areas in the summer overlooking the Chicago river. The food is excellent, the menu very varied with a lot of moderately priced dishes. It is very cozy and the drinks are well made. I highly recommend Erie Cafe

This is a classic Chicago beef restaurant.... truly old school. I had the prime rib that was so large it actually did not fit on the plate and hung over at one end. Mid West beef is great and this is a go to place. This is a restaurant that one needs to try in Chicago if you like beef. The portions are not large... they are huge so go with a good appetite. Service was good and the food is excellent. All the portions of everything are huge. You pay for the meal as it is not cheap but the quality is outstanding.

Been going here for a decade when visiting Chi-Town for business. Just a wonderful place with phenomenal meat dishes... rumor has it that the seafood is good, too, especially the grilled calamari appetizer, but when in Chicago, it's time for meat. They do it as good as the any of the high-end chains, but it's not a chain. Great service, and always phenomenal food.

Great Sinatra-like old school atmo, waiters and bartenders with white aprons and short and tie, old fashion fish and chops menu......but the real key is to get there early for their weekend special: Prime Rib. Early because it runs out quick. It's easily 2 inches thick and seasoned beautifully....Best in town!
