Our tour guide was Stephan. He seemed very knowledgeable. Dress for the weather, as it is a walking tour. It snowed on our tour and was very cold, but it was still great to get to see the city and places that gangsters of the 1920s lived and did business, even though the buildings may not exist anymore.

Terrific tour. The guide was very personable and he knew about everything Chicago, not just the stops on the itinerary. The tour takes about 2 hours but there was a 15-20 minute break in a spot with bathrooms and seating. The pace was good, too. My 19 year old daughter said it was one of her favorite things about our trip.

This tour was absolutely fantastic and I had a wonderful time! I really appreciated everything that the historian, Stevie, shared with us on the history of Chicago and the creepy events that have taken place here. He talked with us about more than just the items on the tour and answered all of our questions, and even took us up to a haunted room in a hotel because we were in such a small group :-) I would absolutely recommend this tour to anybody who has the energy to walk around for a few hours and wants to learn about all of the drama that Al Capone and his minions brought to the city. Make sure you have proper walking shoes, and bring your sense of adventure!

I am just back from an excellent walking tour with Stephan (I hope that's how you spell it!). My wife myself and 2 kids all loved it. Cleverly mixing up the city's paranormal history with the mob history and with a bit of humour added in. I didn't realise it was a walking tour until we got there, not that we minded as we prefer walking tours. But for some people with smaller children, it may be advisable to let people know, and also how long the tour will be, as our group did thin out as we went along. Stephan was very knowledgeable, and answered all questions very well. Overall, highly recommended.

This tour was simply awesome. The local historians really knew their stuff. The tour started off near the river which was great for some excellent views of the city at night, and the stories about Capone and the various ghosts along the way were fascinating. It ends at the Congress Plaza hotel, Chicago's most haunted hotel where we found room 441 (that has inspired a Stephen King story). The guides were very engaging and really did a great job of making the history of the city come alive.
