I had a meeitng her for about 50 people. Very clean (new or recently updated property) - If you are planning on having a meeting, you need to call Ruth. She is an above average individual (even for a Hilton property) that will go far above and beyond your expectations to make your meeting a great experience & success (not to mention affordable).. I do meetings almost every week & can assure you that you will not find a person anywhere better than Ruth! If you are planning a meeting dowton..CALL RUTH!!! .

This hotel is conveniently located, with everything you would expect from a Hampton. The room, a King Suite with Sofabed, was clean, comfortable, and roomy enough for our family of 4 adults. The breakfast area is very large, and even though the place was packed during our Spring Break visit, the selection of hot or cold food was always plentiful - they even brought out a third waffle iron to meet demand. The staff was VERY friendly and accomodating, with a good sense of humor. At the front desk I asked for extra pillows to help me sleep comfortably after recent shoulder surgery, they were in our room by the time we got there. They were also quick to suggest restaurants and gave us a coupon for one nearby (Malnati's - mmmmm). The Bell/Valet staff were very helpful. The CTA Red Line station was about a block away (for a trip to Wrigley), and about 2 blocks north on State is a Jewel/Osco where you can buy CTA passes, along with groceries and other necessicities. A taxi ride to Navy Pier (no trolley in the off-season) is about 6 bucks. The location is safe, it is a nice and very busy area of town. This will be our go-to hotel for future trips to Chicago.

Room Tip: There is street noise which did not bother us - ask for a high floor. Free earplugs are available.

My husband & I visited Chicago for the very first time and chose to stay at the Hampton Inn based on our great experiences at one of their NYC locations. We couldn't have picked a better spot! Located in the vibrant River North area, we were walking distance to bars, restaurants, shops, transit and the Magnificent Mile. It was a fantastic hotel with polite, friendly and helpful staff. Their valet parking service was great especially because it includes in-out privileges.

The room was large with a fridge, microwave and wetbar, plus a comfy king sized bed. Their complimentary breakfast was good and the dining area was large and comfortable.

It is located right near a firehouse, so it can get noisy, but if you're used to the hustle & bustle of a big city, it isn't bothersome ... and if it is, they offer free earplugs.

We had such a fantastic time that we're already planning to return, and of course we will stay at this hotel again.

Great location, fabulous friendly staff, beds are most luxurious, and breakfast included is one of the most elaborate I've seen (some hot items change daily). The scrambled eggs with cheese are outstanding! Kudos to the chef too! The breakfast room was nice and large although very full each morning around 8am. The staff makes sure everyone is accommodated. I brought a group of 25 to the hotel and everyone was pleased! The restaurants attached to the hotel are both very nice and there is a fun dueling piano bar around the corner for late night entertainment. If I had to point out one negative the elevators are a bit full and slow in the morning but eventually you get to where you need to be. I can honestly say I fell in love with Chicago, it's people and all that the city has to offer. Can't wait to go back and I would stay here again! This hotel location is truly in the heart of it all!!!

My family spent spring break at this hotel. The staff was friendly and even playful. We felt like they knew us. And the location was just a few blocks from Michigan avenue. We came during a crowded time and the breakfast area was a bit small (but free and adequate- like any Hampton Inn). Just the right ammenities, good staff and location made this a great stay.
