WE were delighted to be brought to this lovely homestay by our driver. The landlady, Sobitha, is really charming and a fantastic cook. We had the best rice and vegetable curry ever and the breakfast after our dawn visit to the national park was absolutely amazing - especially the pancakes with coconut and syrup! We had a beautiful airconditioned room with kettle and tea and an amazing bathroom.
Highly recommended.

Very very friendly people, clean rooms in good shape with aircondition.
The food was perfect, typical sri lankan, tasty and served in a wonderful family atmosphere.

Very helpful to organize Safari including pick up and ticket service.
The Hotel Is located close to the park entrance.

We stayed hear through our guide for Uduwalawe 'Lahiru' as our other guesthouse (Shadow Safari Inn) cancelled our booking because we would not book a tour through them. The rooms here are lovely and the double room was very cosy and large bathroom. Aircon fantastic, beds comfortable, fast wifi and the owner showed us her garden which she uses fresh ingredients to cook food for us. The food was lovely and the owner catered for us very well as we do not like very spicy food. The decor is very clean and homely and only 10 minutes from national park in car or with your guide in the safari jeep.

Wow! This really is a lovely place!
The rooms are like little hotel rooms with a beautiful bathroom, fluffy towels and are spotlessly clean.
Little extras in your room like tea, and a kettle, also a fan and very efficient air-con if you want it.
The host, Sobitha, is so kind and generous providing a wonderful evening meal and great breakfast after an early morning safari. She has 3 lovely rooms. A singe, double, and triple, all with a/c and bathroom.
Her home is beautiful, and I would highly recommend anyone to stay here if you want to do The Udawalawe Safari. She can also arrange a safari with an excellent young guide, who has eagle eyes to spot everything that without a guide you would miss!
Contact Sobitha on: Whitetuskcontact@gmail.com or +94 716034644 for her best prices.
