We stayed at the Trout House over new years for total 6 nights and had one of the best family year-end vacation ! We had been staying in Incline Village (NV) for the last 4~5 seasons but this time we decided to go a bit further and check out Grand Teton area to see the wildlife alongwith some skiing. The Trout House is situated at a really nice quiet secluded area (white winter wonderland), was much much more nicer and comfy than we have expected, and felt perfecty at home. Tammy is just a wonderful owner and the house was stocked and provided with everything you can think of to live-in like at home. Can't ask for more.
Grand Teton NP is easily drivable and we ended up seeing Bison, Big Horn sheep, Elk, Moose, Coyote, all the winter wildlife that we coud think of, and also did some night skiing under a full moon at Kelly Canyon, a true mystical experience.
Also, had the best doughnuts in our lives (teenage daughter agrees, which speaks alot) at the small village-style restaurant Sweet Surrender in Ririe about 6 miles away.
