We just needed an overnight stop on a recent trip, and this place was just right. It is dog friendly (necessary for us), and they provided our canine with a little doggy treat bag. We were put in a room at the back, right next to the back door for easy in/out access. The rooms are not overly spacious, but there are some large common areas with couches/a TV; and tables/chairs if you wanted to stretch out a little. Everything was immaculately clean, and staff was friendly and helpful. This is a renovated hotel (don't know what it used to be) that is still in the process. They have a nice (but very small) pool and hot tub, and a workout room. It is located on the northeast corner of the turn to Schweitzer Ski area, and would be a good, budget place to stay if you're skiing. There are 2 restaurants nearby, and a 3rd one (built by the hotel) is almost completed. It's a couple miles north of downtown Sandpoint, but an easy, quick drive. We would stay here again.
