Hostel is in the Lido island. Transportation is not complicated, with water bus you can go and come back easily. Reception guy eas so nice. You can find almost everything in the breakfast. We recommend!

Rather, this is a former private home in a quiet but central street on the lido turned into rooms & breakfast. Nobody from staff there after 8 pm. nor at some other times when receptionist is replaced by a sign w tel nr. So you can't even get a map (there's a sign it would cost 2€). Had a room barely bigger than the bed. Same for the very poor shower. They did move me to a bigger one next day, but carpet beyond repair, and shower a mere trickle, too. My colleague's did not even have a chair. Neighbour's bathroom within 30cm and too much of an earshot. Standard b'fast. Friendly maid standing in f receptionist. Sad. Avoid.

My wife and I stayed at Villa Delle Palme on a 3 night stay from 14/9 to 17/9. The hotel location is ideal only a short walk from Lido ferry port and the wifi was good. Although we booked a double room I think I would find it impossible to find such a small room on the Lido - the average sized double bed took up the majority of the room space. It was not possible for 2 adults to walk past each other such was the small space. Surprisingly they have no hot drink making facilities in our room.At breakfast they have an odd rule that you are only entitled to 1 hot drink per person after which you must pay for subsequent ones. This extends to tea bags. They confiscated the breakfast tea bags and only allowed my wife one and would not give her another one unless she was prepared to pay extra. Needless we solved this nonsense by purchasing our own teabags for the remainder of our stay. A useful hint is get to breakfast early as they do not replenish food - once it has been consumed that is it and you have limited choice if you arrive late. Also the dining room is too small for the number of rooms . This resulted in other guests eating their breakfast standing up using the reception desk as their table. We have stayed at least 5 times on the lido in other establishments which represented much better value for money, larger rooms and better facilities. Whilst we had a wonderful time in Venice this is a hotel I would advise caution when booking - unless you like confined small spaces, eat like a sparrow and are happy with only one hot drink you will have a great time - very disappointed.

Room Tip: Pick a different hotel. Rooms too small. Look carefully at the photos that are on the website and judge for yourself

The hosts are the nicest people you will ever meet in Italy. We loved this place and would definitely come back to stay here again. Great breakfast, amazing service and great rooms that have the terrace. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to Positano.

Room Tip: Rooms with the terrace

The hotel is a touch of older styling. The rooms are European (smaller) in nature. The beds are hard (which I like) so keep that in mind. Our corner room (22) was just fine. The Wifi is excellent, as is the breakfast. I cannot speak to staff interactions, but the owner is extremely helpful and was there most days. He is both friendly and helpful. BTW: you can get your passport back after a day or so, just remember to ask.

Now: here's the key. GO UPSTAIRS TO THE LOUNGE AREA. The view of Lido cannot be beat. They have couches that are protected, and you can go even further up to a higher lookout. Great for viewing old Venezia. You can't find this view anywhere else.

Lido is quiet (I was there on business), so bear this in mind.

Room Tip: Room 22 was a good size.
