Very nice hotel, very nice staff, classy guests. Review has to be 200 characters long so I'd add a tip: while at Lido pop over to other side and go to the funky double-decker bus bar (by the road near the beach).

Great place all round! Our server Luca, was warm and friendly and gave us great service. They had closed off lunch service but Luca was able to arrange for us to be served food. The food was tasty and well presented. I had the yummiest tiramisu ever. I'd highly recommend it!!! A must-do in Lido.

Our room was comfortable, though the beds were hard, and the curtains needed cleaning. Our group booked 3 rooms, and all of us had allergy problems during our stay. Their terrace overlooking the canal has spectacular views. The breakfast buffet included with the room rate is very good. I thought the restaurant was overpriced and none of us ate there during our stay. Great location in Lido, just a few steps from the vaporetto station! Our room was ready early, which I was ultra thankful for after so many hours of traveling. If you are tall you will have a difficult time taking a shower without bumping your head with the slanted ceiling!

A fascinating hotel. It is situated in the most amazing position. From our little garden we had a view across the lagoon from St Marks Square.Waking up to this was dreamlike. Our room no.2 had a bedroom, bathroom, tiny kitchen and lounge. The garden had a table and 2 chairs.A couple of sunloungers would have been lovely.Sadly the garden was somewhat neglected and at the side of our room was a rubbish area with an old bath which had just been taken out of our bathroom. On arrival we had a shower base and the filthy old bath curtains hence total bathroom flooding until on the third day the glass was fitted. The shower still leaked in two places.Ah well! The reception staff were excellent but the breakfast waiter initially very surly but eventually smiled at me.Gluten free bread and cakes were provided for me on request.Breakfast was only adequate and somebody must teach the chef to make scrambled egg. There was a bowl of fresh fruit but bananas had to be specially requested???The actual hotel is rather run down and indeed in need of renovation but it does have a lot of charm. It is also 2 minutes away from the vaporetto bus stops making all Venice and the lido easy to get to.Evening meals seemed very expensive so we ate elsewhere very saisfactorily. We would stay at this hotel again.Venice is the most magical destination but returning to the peace and quiet of the lido was very soothing after a long hard day on our feet.

We arrived at 21.30 after a delayed flight and went straight to the dining room. Here we were seated at an unlaid up table and given menus. We asked for some water and drinks as we were thirsty after our tiresome journey, after waiting 15 minutes our drinks had not arrived. It seemed that the only person that could make drinks was the head waiter whilst 3 others stood around watching him. After i complained about the wait we eventually got our drinks and asked if we could order food. Of course we then had to wait
for the head waiter to take our order, my wife's choice was not available so she asked for a main course size Smoked Salmon with salad and i ordered the Veal chop. The food arrived with my chop being barely warm and my wife's Salmon being the starter size served with a huge bowl of undressed salad, we also had a bottle of house rose wine and two Tiramisu. The bill £107 euros our last meal here!!. Our suite was 104 out of the fire door and through discarded debris including empty bottles and a chair and to top it all an old bath tub with its plumbing. The suite with 105 on the door was in typical venetian repro design but acceptable with bedroom bathroom and sitting room. Obviously it doubles as a self catering unit at some times of the year as there is a hidden kitchenette behind a sliding shutter. A mini fridge is supplied stocked with 1 beer and one Coke these are complimentary. We did get some water the next day but not on our last? The bed was comfortable and the view from the terrace fabulous, there is small garden area crying out for two sunbeds but none supplied. Housekeeping good, reception very good restaurant staff can only be described as hopeless and doing their upmost to avoid customers yet alone communicate. We stayed 4 nights in what could be an amazing small hotel, as the room rate was more than £250 per night including a very good buffet breakfast i would suggest a bit of T.L.C. needed on the building and some serious restaurant staff training is in order.
