Checked into the Venezia 2000 Hotel on the 14th September 2018 for 7nights.
Upgraded to room 304 which included taxes 168 euro's.
Arrived Marco Polo airport then followed the signs for the blue line and boarded the Alilaguna waterbus which cost 27 euro's return ticket.
Arrived at Lido and bought a 7 day ACTV ticket 60 euro's which includes buses and waterbuses.1 day 20 /3 days 40 euro's.
Directions to hotel ..cross the road from the water station slightly to the right, walk up the Main street to the roundabout at the end of the street, turn left, walk approx quarter of a mile and the hotel is on the left.
Buy tickets from ACTV water stations as other outlets may charge commission.
Essential, take a detailed map, research online before you travel and read the signs on the buildings for directions.
Hotel excellent, however, 4 stars given due to shower being in a fixed position 7 feet high which makes washing lower areas of a women's body very difficult.
Also, due to the low water pressure we had to take showers before 7am or after 10am etc..
Loved the men in Venice singing on the Gondolas and everyone applauding their wonderful voices. Mosquitos terrible and have big teeth. Location extremely quiet and reminded us of the 'walking dead'More
