WOW!!! Loved this place-chef’s husband greeted us and gave a rundown of the menu-(very personable). We had the soup of the day “tomato/peanut” - it was fabulous! We sided that with farfalle pasta, marinated tomato and avocado salad and mango and black bean salad-all were excellent! He made me a delicious fruity drink - which also was excellent. Place is small but very clean and atmosphere uplifting. We will revisit recommend you give it a go!
Carpe Diem!

I'm ashamed that for all the years Carambola has been in the same spot we have not been able to go there. They are only open for lunches and with work schedules it has been a tough task. Now thet we are able to get there it will be at the top of our list for early or late lunches.

The place is spotless, the music is soft so you can talk, it smells fresh and everyone is very helpful. They have sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps etc and it's all fresh and for the most part healthy with great flavor from several North, Central and South American countries.

It's only a couple of easy miles off I-90 so no excuses on it being to far out of the way. If you don't try them you are missing out.

This has to be the best lunch around here, but definitely would be considered superb anywhere in the USA. Only open 11 to 3 and only Monday to Friday, so seek it out. We stopped on a Monday and ordered the quesadillas solo, one with beef and another with chicken, along with 2 Mexican coffees. The coffees were served in adorable red clay hand shaped mugs with cream and lump sugar service in harmonizing miniature clay vessels. We savored the rich spiced flavor. The perfectly prepared quesadillas were accessorized with small flower-painted dishes of very fresh tasting salsa made in a tiny dice. After eating we had time to chat with the co-owner who gave us samples of the exquisite fruit drinks that nearly everyone else seemed to be imbibing while we were there. We definitely plan to return.

This is kinda a little hidden gem. Set in a strip type mall but don’t be put off by the location. This is truly amazing food cooked “fresh” every day! It’s so small it doesn’t really work for large parties so don’t think you can get together with 10 friends and try it out. Only about 5-6 veryclose tables. Works better for me as take out unless I’m just with one other person. Now for,the good part: The food is authentic South American fare, healthy and prepared like you’ve never had it before! Operated by a husband and wife team, she cooks and he is the friendly guy behind the counter. There is a large glass enclosed showcase which holds all of the days salads so you can choose for yourself. Of course, these are not your typical salads and dishes...nope they are unique. Choose whatever looks good to you and guaranteed it will be amazing. Pair it with a sandwich ( yes, unique too) and you’ll have the best meal to be found anywhere in CDA! And you must top it off with Hibiscus Tea...that’s an experience in itself! Reasonably prices for what you get. Never a disappointment...always a wonderful experience. And, remember, only open for lunch.

I stopped in here, while visiting for the day, based on other reviews and happy I did! The chef creates delicious, healthy Latin food and her husband operates the front. He is friendly and helpful. The triple corn chowder and vegetarian sandwich they created was flavorful and came out quickly. The chef’s husband visited my table several times to make sure I was happy with everything. I’ll definitely visit again.
