Room was clean and well appointed...beds a little soft and slightly uneven, but can't beat the location...staff was very friendly and great multi-product coffee machine in lobby...would not hesitate to stay there again

Great location! The bed was the ONLY comfortable piece of furniture in the entire unit! The price was reasonable. Very outdated decor! Friendly staff and good parking. Within easy walking distance to the village and pier!
We only stopped in St. Simons Island to check it out on our way from Ft. Myers, FL to Columbia, SC. Although too cold to see much in the off season, we loved the Inn. The view of the lighthouse from our balcony, and the surrounding area including a quaint restaurant we visited was relaxing and refreshing. The interior of the room was unique and we felt special staying there. It was unlike any other room in a hotel that we stayed. Very very nice and the staff at the front desk was helpful in recommending things to see in the area.
For the price we paid ($98.10 ) January 2021, we were more than happy with the accomodations. We met on a beach in NJ, so my wife chose Room 204 with a beachy feel. The furnishings were lovely. No maid service because of Covid but that was to be expected. The mattress and pillows were extraordinary. We hardly used the tv, but if I had to complain about anything, it would be the keycards. It took several attempts before we could enter the room. The toilet installer made a huge mistake in the design of the bathroom. The door had to be filed down or it hit the toilet. No biggie. The continental breakfast included pastries, english muffins, toasted bread, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and the best commercial coffee maker possible. Not much of a breakfast person, I enjoyed two cups of vanilla choco lattes eavery morning. Centrally located, Mallery Street is within walking distance with shops, restaurants, the fishing pier and a long walkable beach. We will definitely be back. We loved our 3 day getaway. Oh, and the only sounds we heard was the couple next to us that had their tv too loud.
All rooms in this inn are individually owned. We stayed in room 213. The room was in dire need of renovation. The owners had rigged the bed which was broken at some point and time. They didn’t even bother to paint the place that was “patched”. The ceiling had been patched in several locations but was not done by a professional. Instead of re-tiling the small bathroom floor, the owners patched an area with tile that did not match the other tile at all. Very unprofessional. The walls were in need of a fresh coat of paint. Also, the room was not cleaned well before we arrived. There was mold/mildew on the back of the bathroom faucet. There was hair in every corner of the bathroom and all baseboards were in dire need of a wipe down/dusting. During our two night stay, we had to have the front desk clerk re-key the keycards for our room three times because they didn’t work. Needless to say, we will never stay there again.
We arrived and checked in. The bed was lower than we arr used to, but that is not a problem. The mattress was excellent, Both our backs feel much better. They have a continental breakfast that will sustain you. Easy to find and rigth across the street from the lighthouse, where you can also see the flipped boat.
