Tucked into an old farmhouse is this amazing Lebanese family restaurant. We were seated immediately and were greeted by the most friendly and accommodating wait staff offering drinks, warm bread and the nights special. We ordered the scallops and prime rib. Try the house dressing - it's delicious. The owner came over, recommended a very pleasant wine and talked about how he and his mother started their restaurant 20 years earlier. Will definitely return our next stay in Pine Mountain.

Tammy and I recently celebrated our 47th anniversary by dining at an old favorite, Carriage and Horses in Pine Mountain. We have visited often over the years when we were in the area, but this was our first as new residents. Dagher, the ownerprepared something special, off menu, for us. Delicious fresh Smelts with his special french fries. An unusual and fantastic treat for us, and adding to a very special evening. He never disappoints.

My husband and I went on one of our first dates here 8 years ago when he was stationed at Ft. Benning, GA. We live in Atlanta now and recently spent the weekend at Callaway Gardens and knew we had to go back- & I’m so glad we did! Food was AMAZING and the owner and staff literally could not be more hospitable. It really feels like you’re eating among friends. We can’t wait until our next visit! Thanks for such great and lasting memories!

We only get to Pine Mountain every few years but when we do our trip wouldn't be complete without dinner at the Carriage & Horses. The owner, Dagher, is a true prince of a guy who will do anything to make his guests happy. And he always seems to succeed.

On our most recent visit we had vegetarians and omnivores in our party and all were completely satisfied. An order of grape leaves for the appetizer was judged "astounding," thus setting the tone. Main courses included a pair of lobster tails that were too large to be eaten in one sitting, scallops, shrimp and linguini, spanakopita, and a delicious, custom made, spur of the moment, beef Wellington. Two of us had a nice Riesling which was poured with a generous hand. Desert is always a favorite and even though we were almost too stuffed we had to have just one tiramisu and coffee for the road.

We arrived in the evening and were able to enjoy the beautiful countryside surrounding the restaurant. It's a delightful drive, probably less than five minutes from Pine Mountain, and it's far and away the best place in the area. If you're anywhere in the vicinity it's a must visit.
