We always stay here on our annual Peaches to Beaches yard sale trip. We always stay in the rooms but got a cabin this year and loved it. We had alot more room and beautiful views of the lake. Already booked for next year!

We arrived late and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Even had a full-hookup site for us which is unusual in a state park. Campground was VERY clean and really beautiful. Right on a lake, great for riding bikes and just relaxing.

This was our 1st trip to Little Ocmulgee. We camped in the campground. Most sites are large and level. Some need a little work, but most are great. There are even sites with sewer and 50 amp service. The campground is very clean and appealing. There are 2 bathhouses which are kept spotless. The newer one has a washer and dryer. The hosts we met were very friendly and responsive to any issues. The lodge is a good place to eat. We had the Sunday buffet. The food was good and the service was great. Price was what you'd expect. The only issue we had was we weren't informed that the lake is closed to any water and boating activities. Aggressive 'vegetation' has been treated so all activities in/on the lake are closed, but the only way we found out was the numerous signs posted on the shore warning of the prohibition of boat and pedestrian traffic on/near the lake. There is no info on the Website or on the brochure we were given at the lodge. Apparently it has been closed for quite a while and won't reopen for quite a while longer. In fact, these 2 resources still promote the lake and all activities available (swimming, boating, kayak/canoe rentals, etc.). If you don't plan to visit with the intent of the lake activities, you'll enjoy the rest of the park. There is a splash pad for kids, miniature golf, plenty of picnic shelters and tables, several playground areas, and of course the 18-hole golf course. We had a wonderful stay here, we were just disappointed we had no way of knowing the lake and all lake activities were indefinitely suspended.

When we booked a cabin, we paid for a Cozy Cabin package from Georgia State Parks website. Upon arrival, no s'mores kits were included as they "were not made yet" but a bundle of fire wood was sent to the cabin. As we were the only family in all of the 10 cabins, an upgrade to one with a connected deck would have been nice. Got a splinter from the cabin- could use some bleach and a coat of paint. Take a bottle of water to brush your teeth as the tap spews out cloudy water. Front desk very friendly and helpful. Super small town so stock up on food and supplies before heading out to cabin.

We have been coming to Little Ocmulgee for years and love it! We have always stayed in the campground and have never had a bad experience. They have some full hookup, but if you don't manager to get one, the bathhouses are always clean and ready to use. We also use the Golf Course which our fellas love. They always love their little lunch after playing 18! We don't use the Lodge or the Restaurant but have heard good things about the buffet. In the summer we do enjoy the pool, which is always clean. The hiking trails, although not very long, are also great to use. To comment to Steve L from Tifton, the water was low this past week, but they frequently drain it down to let those weeds die down, but they will dam it back up again for those fishermen! If you love to camp, meet wonderful people and enjoy the outdoor beauty, visit Little Ocmulgee, you won't be dissatisfied!
