The pictures of this accommodation are impressive but the reality is better. This is a genuine historical property, there is nothing artificial about it at all.
The setting is beautiful. The cooking facilities may be minimalist but when you have Farrington's farm food complex and its excellent (and busy) cafe about 5 minutes walk away that is immaterial. Other dining options are available locally! Otherwise the accommodation is spotlessly clean and spacious with good off road parking facilities.
The owners are very welcoming and friendly and make every effort to assist in any way they can.
All in all my wife and I had a really enjoyable time and returned home refreshed and relaxed.
Charlotte and Brian were perfect hosts: available and approachable, but giving us all the space and privacy we needed. The Old Parsonage was an interesting place historically and was even visited by royalty last century! The self catering rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable, exactly as described. We didn't cook main meals there, preferring to eat out. There were so many lovely places to visit nearby- We managed Bath, Wells, Stourhead, Bristol harbour and docks, Brean Down, and Cheddar Gorge during our sunny stay. There were lots more places to visit but we ran out of time!
