Takes awhile to get down Bear Gap Rd, which turns into gravel. Trail is narrow in spots and muddy in many locations. Watch out for roots. Crystal clear water. Rocks are placed perfectly for picture taking.

Beautiful! If you can only visit one of the waterfalls in North Georgia, this is the one to see. It is an easy, short walk from the parking area and you can even take your shoes off and put your feet in the cool water at the base of the falls. We went on hot day and it was so nice and cool in this hidden oasis. Make sure to bring a camera and take lots of pictures. It is a bit hard to find, but so worth it!

Easy fast hike a great first hike for the area to get you started. The steps are steep so be aware if you are older or have a disability. After a short climb up the stairs you enter a light hike and are treated to great scenery, this hike is not difficult and when we were there we were the only persons on the trail. The end result is an amazing waterfall and I would recommend this fall/hike as the first morning hike to get you going as it has a great finish for very little effort.

Minnehaha Falls, one of the best "secret" places in Northern Georgia. Indeed, there are distinctive spiritual essences at the base of the falls. A large, square rock boulder provides a perfect meditation/contemplative bench at the bottom of the falls.

On a hot summer day, visit the falls in your swimsuit for pleasant wadding and cool pools for children, and adults.

The well-marked trail is relatively flat, and short in distance (less than .5 mile/1km). During the spring there are Indian pipes (parasite wildflowers) beside the trail.

The quantity of water tumbling down Minnehaha Falls can be fairly modest during a summer dry season. However, during all other seasons and after even moderate rainfalls will bring the cascade steps to their more typical beauty.

Parking is free, and there are no admission fees for this attraction. (The two water falls directly on the opposite shore of Lake Rabun require parking fees.)
